NRPOP Laboratory is pleased to congratulate Dr. Baiyu Helen Zhang<\/strong> on her appointment as an Co-Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Reviews<\/em><\/strong>, alongside Dr. Rolf Vinebrooke from University of Alberta.<\/p>\n

Drs. Zhang and Vinebrooke joined the journal\u2019s editorial leadership team on September 1, 2026<\/strong>, bringing complementary expertise in environmental engineering and environmental change. They will succeed Dr. John Smol, who has served as Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Reviews<\/em> for more than two decades. His current term will conclude at the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

Dr. Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland<\/strong> and a Canada Research Chair in Coastal Environmental Engineering<\/strong>. Her research focuses on the behavior, impact, and mitigation of marine and coastal pollution, particularly emerging contaminants.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on her new role,<\/p>\n
