Welcome new graduate students and welcome back to our returning graduate students for the Fall 2020 semester! We are very excited to be resuming the graduate student blog for the 2020-2021 academic year.

This year we have 7 graduate students who will be blogging about their first-hand experiences in graduate studies. Follow their journey throughout the first year of their program and beyond, and get an inside look at graduate life at Memorial.

Let’s introduce our returning graduate student bloggers:

Juliana Vidal is from Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil and is completing a PhD Chemistry. Juliana is returning to our blogging team for the fourth consecutive year.

 

Shannon Pearson is from Conestogo, Ontario, Canada and is completing a Master of Arts in Sociology. Shannon is joining us as a third year blogger for our team.

 

Sydney Collins is from Holland Landing, Ontario, Canada and is completing a Master’s degree in Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology. Sydney joined our team last year and will be continuing to blog for her second year.

 

Seerat Virk Gill is from Chandigarh, India and is completing a PhD in Chemistry. Seerat became part of our blogging team last fall and will continue to write for the upcoming academic year.

 

We would now like to welcome and introduce our new bloggers who started their graduate programs this semester:

Jack Hendrix is from Guelph, Ontario, Canada and is completing a PhD in Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology.

 

Sara Langer-Smith is from London, Ontario and is completing A PhD in Transdisciplinary Sustainability.

 

Isabel Cuenca is from Tuxtra Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, and is completing a Master of Science in Aquaculture.
