PEOPLE Network Workshop Series: Indigenous Engagement in Research has been Successfully Held

June 8, 2020

PEOPLE Network Workshop Series: Indigenous Engagement in Research has been held successfully on June 8, 2020. Our partners at Innovation7 have very generously offered us a great workshop. We would like to say thank you to everyone and an especially big thank you to Mr. Dale Booth for putting together a great session for us. We believe that Indigenous Engagement is a highly important component of research in the PEOPLE Network, and this was a fantastic opportunity to learn about Indigenous engagement and how we can integrate Indigenous knowledge into our research projects.

Innovation7 plays a unique role in the path towards reconciliation by bridging the values and gap between Canadian Government, Business and Indigenous communities, to solve complex problems, strengthen consultation and improve project outcomes. Our special guest, Dale Booth, has over 20 years of experience working in the Indigenous affairs space, specializing in major infrastructure development and Public Private Partnerships procurement.

We have plans to continue this workshop series as part of our PEOPLE Network. If you have any ideas or topics you would be interested in having addressed in future sessions, please do not hesitate to send us an email at nrpop@mun.ca or peoplenetwork@mun.ca.

Dale has been kind enough to provide us with the presentation materials from his talk – here. Please feel free to share and discuss with your colleagues.
