NRPOP laboratory @ MUN is collaboratively funded by Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and Industrial Research and Innovation Funds (IRIF) to develop new methodologies and technologies to help Canadian governments and industries in resolving organic pollution problems in a long term perspective. The research team comprises academic researchers and their graduate students who are all highly educated and professionally trained, as well as scientists and engineers from governmental and industrial partners. Our research interests include contaminant (NPS and POPs) transport and fate studies, site remediation, petroleum waste management, water and wastewater treatment, coastal and marine pollution monitoring and control, wetland/watershed modelling, water resources management, decision making under uncertainty, and risk assessment.
