B.Eng., M.Sc., M.Eng. student
Zelin Li obtained his B.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering from Shandong University, China in 2008 and M.A.Sc. degree in sustainable energy systems from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in 2011. Before joining NRPOP Lab and pursuing his M.Eng. degree under the supervision of Dr. Bing Chen in 2012, Zelin Li has been worked as a project engineer in COWI China, which is an energy and environmental consulting company.
Zelin Li is experienced in both field testing and systems simulations, with a broad knowledge in energy and environmental engineering. He has the good capacity to conduct research independently as well as in a team. As part of his thesis work in SP technical and research institute of Sweden, Zelin Li was involved in the EU project of on-site air-to-air heat pump performance evaluation in 2011. In 2012, his work regarding hydraulic simulations and planning of district energy systems was also well received by COWI China. Currently, his research is focusing on numerical simulation of subsurface hydrocarbon contamination and remediation processes based on multi-dimensional physical models. His research interests also include developing decision support systems for offshore oil spills in harsh environment.
