Postdoc Fellow, Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc.
I received my bachelor’s degree in marine technology from Zhejiang University of Technology in China and master degree in environmental systems engineering and management from Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 2011, I started my PhD program at Memorial University of Newfoundland in civil engineering. I involved in several professional associations. I am a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), and Women in Science and Engineering Newfoundland and Labrador (WISENL).
My research activities have focuses on several areas, most notably the development of innovative environmental biotechnologies and their application to challenging onshore/offshore contamination problems in northern Canada. My research expertise and interests lie in the areas of soil and groundwater remediation, offshore oil spill response and countermeasures, fate and transport of contaminants in the marine and shoreline environment. I was actively involved and played a key role in 7 research projects with the industry, government agencies and private sectors, including soil and ground water remediation, offshore oil spill control, and municipal solid waste management. Those work leads to 20 publication and project reports based on my research findings.
