Yujiao Wang obtained her bachelor degree of environmental science in Jinan University (China) in July, 2012. Then she joined the MESEM program at MUN in September 2012. After the first semester of MESEM program, she switched into the research-based program under the co-supervision of Dr. Helen Zhang and Dr. Tahir Husain. Yujiao Wang has a solid background in environmental engineering and environmental chemistry. And these enable her to conduct her research creatively and independently.
Yujiao Wang mainly investigates the potential application of blue-green algae to improve the chemical qualities of slurries from municipal wastewater treatment plant. The blue-green algae treated slurries will be applied as a compost amendment for agriculture application. Yujiao Wang is very good at team work and also involved other projects in NRPOP lab.
