Academic Achievement

Dr. Min Yang is a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Memorial University. She finished her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Baiyu (Helen) Zhang at Memorial University. Her research focuses on the transport and fate of microplastics (MPs) and their interaction with oil pollution in oceans. Her research reported the existence of MPs and dispersed oil agglomerates (MODAs) for the first time and found MODAs decreased the dispersant efficiency in the marine environment. Her research is highly innovative and makes unique contributions to marine oil spill response operations.
