Xudong Ye received his bachelor’s degrees in environmental Science from Liaoning University in China, 2012, first master degree in environmental systems engineering and management from Memorial University of Newfoundland, 2014, and second master degree in civil engineering in Memorial University, 2017. In 2017, he started his Ph.D program at Memorial University of Newfoundland in civil engineering-environmental engineering. Now, he works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Memorial University.
Research Areas:
- Dynamic decision support system for environmental pollution accidents and risky activities (esp. emergency response of marine oil spill accidents)
- Modeling development based on artificial intelligence approaches with the integration of simulation, optimization, and decision making
- System risk assessment, evaluation, and analysis
- Human factor and risk-based analysis on accident occurrence and response
- Wastewater treatment process control and plant network design
- Micro-scale reaction modeling simulation and prediction and pilot/industrial-scale in-situ application testing for wastewater treatment technologies
- Enhanced oxidation process for wastewater treatment
- Bio-dispersant and oil decanting for marine spilled oil removal
