Dr. Ying Chen and Dr. Jiaping Wu Visit from Zhejiang University

On July 29, 2016, Dr. Ying Chen and Dr Jiaping Wu arrived in Memorial. Dr. Ying Chen currently serves as Assistant President, Dean of Ocean College, and Director of the State Key Lab of Fluid Power Transmission and Control at Zhejiang University. He delivered a seminar entitled “Brief Introduction of Ocean College, Zhejiang University” to the University community. Dr. Jiaping Wu is Director of Institute of Islands and coastal Ecosystems at Ocean College, Zhejiang University. He delivered a seminar entitled “Use of Large-Scale Seaweed Farms for Coastal Environment Protection and Ecological Conservation” to the university community. Afterwards, they had a thorough discussion with NRPOP staff and students on their latest research and possible collaborations. They were very satisfied with the visit outcome and plans to conduct more research collaborations with NRPOP.
